Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On Sunday 29th September, I will be taking part in the Bupa Great Yorkshire run and War of the Roses, a 10k run from Sheffield City centre. As part of the run I have pledged my allegiance to Yorkshire, and will be wearing a white rose. War of the Roses is won by the county with the best times. The winning county is calculated by the average finishing time of all runners competing the 10k course in a time of less than 70 minutes.
Fingers crossed my early morning training, even on my birthday, has paid off and I'll help Yorkshire win for the 3rd year running!
A month later I continue to torture myself by doing the Worksop Halloween Half Marathon.
I put myself through this sort of pain on a Sunday morning, when normal people are tucked up under a duvet, not just for the experience, but to raise money for the incredible St Luke's Hospice and the brilliant work they do for Sheffield people with incurable illnesses.
