Story
On the 4th october 2013 my 19 year old cousin Emma died suddenly which shocked our family ti the core. The fact that a lively 19 year old girl could pass so sudden and at the time without no apparent reason seemed unbelievable, After Emma's cause of death was found to be Sepsis and the fact that this illness is not known or recognised by most people Emma's mum and dad have worked so hard arranging numerous charity events to raise money for The uk sepsis trust . Every penny raised for the charity helps with putting together information packs ,leaflets and altogether spreading the word of this awful illness which could just as easy touch any of your lives. Sepsis doesn't just effect old or the very young this illness can strike at any age any time ... This sponsor bridge walk is our small part in helping to raise money for Emma's memory and that her tragic death has not been for nothing and that she will help save the lives of other people ........ Thank you 🌹❤️Xxxxxx

Sepsis accounts for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK, that’s more than breast, bowel and prostate cancer put together. Sepsis is what happens when our immune system overreacts to an infection.
Symptoms initially present as flu like but can rapidly deteriorate into a life threatening condition.
