Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As many will know, my biggest claim to fame is that I was the first person to run the London Marathaon singing Karaoke all the way. That was 10 years ago. I want to prove I can still do it at 50. It is a hard but a fun thing to do. When I look back, it is one of my antics that I am most proud of. See link below:
Most of us have people we know that are affected by cancer. Breast cancer was my chosen charity because of how it affected Lorraine's mum, Grace Purkiss, who died aged 58. Since then my dad, James Burns and one of my best friends, Kevin Roy (died aged 47) have succumbed to a cancer.
Since I ran for the Breast Cancer Campaign in 2003, I am sticking with that charity - - - - - beside, I think I look good in pink!
I have a new, better and LOUDER karaoke machine to strap to my waist The challenge is to sing and run all the way around the 26.2 mile course - - - - SO LET'S DO IT.
As I always say, in the words of Bjorn and Benny: "Without a song or a dance (or a run) what are we"......................... lets just see if the other runners will be thanking me for the music after several hours of it pounding the streets of London.
thank you
Graham (aka Karaoke Pacemaker)
