Kara's ICSE Balloon Ventures page

ICS Entrepreneur with Balloon Ventures · 31 December 2015 ·
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
In July I will volunteer for 12 weeks with Balloon Ventures on a development programme, now in Uganda which is almost a brand new location for Balloon Ventures! This is part of International Citizen Service (ICS), which is led by Voluntary Services Overseas (VSO), and brings young people together to fight poverty and make a difference where it is needed most.
I'll be living with a host family and working alongside volunteers from both the UK and Uganda, on a project that aims to improve the local communities and the lives of budding entrepreneurs by giving them an opportunity to make their business ideas become a reality.
ICS works with communities that have specifically requested for help, it also aims to inspire young people in the UK and overseas to become active citizens who are passionate about long term community development.
I need to raise a minimum of £800 for Balloon Ventures, who are one of the respected development charities that deliver ICS Entrepreneur. This will allow them to continue to bring about positive change in the developing communities where they work. (The money raised is not to pay for my expenses, it is to enable the charities to keep on doing what they are doing and giving us all the opportunity to make a difference).

I will be doing various fundraising activities which you can keep track of and see how I am getting on via this page or my new blog:

Any contribution from you will make a real difference to the lives of people in developing countries - so please dig deep!
Thank you so much for the support - it means a lot :)
