Story

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So please dig deep and donate now.  The Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team operates 24 hours per day, 365 days a year, providing a mountain, search and rescue service for the whole of County Durham, from the high fells in the west to the coastal communities of the North Sea. The Team responds to requests by the Police to a range of incident types, from injured or lost people in the hills to vulnerable missing people in urban settings. The rescue Team consists of about 50 volunteers, all on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Team will typically respond to between 40 and 50 requests for help every year. The North Pennine County Durham hills provide a diverse backdrop to the Mountain Rescue operations and training.

I am VERY excited about the 3 Peaks Challenge as it is for such a worthwhile cause.  I will be climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in just 24 hours - a very tough challenge especially for someone with short legs!! This will be the biggest physical challenge that I have ever undertaken  but I am very determined and am training hard to put myself in the best position to complete the task.  I would be extremely grateful for your support in this adventure.  Any donation however small is invaluable.

Thank you :)
