Story
A team of staff from Kangaroo Self Storage are taking part in the Chester Raft Race on Sunday 3rd July. This will involve making our own raft ahead of time and then racing it along the River Dee. The race has been going for over 45 years and sees hundreds of rafts take part.
This year the race has the theme '100 years of British Television' so Helen has chosen for our raft to be Father Ted themed. So you may want to listen out for shouts of 'DRINK' and 'GO ON GO ON GO ON'. Our raft has been named Holy Cow and will hopefully look like a milk float.
We want as many people to attend the race as possible to make the event a fun and memorable one, so please feel free to bring family and friends along to watch. We are expecting for at least one raft riders to get wet and there might even be a special guest in attendance on the day.
We are wanting to raise money for Maggie's Cancer Support, a charity who have been helping Helen through her cancer journey. The Maggie's centres help people take back control when cancer turns life upside down, with professional support for anything from treatment side effects to money worries.
