We (Steven, Jenny, Lewis and Aidan) are joining the Road to RHC Virtual Cycling Challenge from 5th -26th August to help raise money for the Glasgow Children Hospital Charity.  

Aidan spent 3 weeks in Ward 3A Neurology after developing Encephalitis, an inflammation of the brain caused by a viral infection (influenza B in Aidans case).  During our time in hospital, it was very clear what the Glasgow Children Hospital Charity provided for the children both in wards and outpatients. Things like the sensory room, playrooms, arts and crafts materials in wards and one thing Aidan has used and loved is the Teddy Bear Hospital.  This helped him understand some of the appointments he would be attending. 

The GCH Charity do amazing work in the hospital and with Aidan now an enthusiastic cyclist and keen to do some fundraising for the hospital this seem like the perfect opportunity. So as a family we will aim to cycle 500km and raise £500 from 5th -26th August.
