We use non-contact boxing to fight the impact of inequality on lives

Story

Since working for Empire Fighting Chance I have witnessed first hand how the boxing therapy programmes and support that is provided by the team and the coaches has a direct positive impact on the lives of young people.

As an example, one young woman has credited Empire Fighting Chance with enabling her to no longer need therapy, after just six weeks of working through the programme.

This is not an isolated example, and it is clear to us that early intervention is massive for mental health.

When young people are empowered to work through their problems at the earliest point, the difference is huge when compared to how people in their late 20s or older struggle with the build-up of negative and ingrained mental thought over many years.

As things stand, we are only delivering our programmes in Bristol, South Wales and plan to extend to scale up to Devon and Cornwall.

This issue is widespread across the UK and internationally, so I am passionate about supporting the charity with fundraising in order for us to tackle these issues of deprivation everywhere.

Your support is greatly appreciated!
