I'm completing the Yorkshire Spartan Race on Sunday 12th August 2012 in Ripon, in memory of the wonderful Bea Ruane. 

The Spartan Race is a 5km sprint with obstacles such as fire, mud, water and barbed wire to tackle.  Check out the video on their page to see what's in store for me, here http://www.spartanrace.com/index.html

I'll be raising money for a cause that meant a lot to Bea - SNAPPY, which is a charity that provides social and recreational opportunities for children and young people with special needs aged 5-25 in the York area.  Bea's family are hoping to create a sensory room in her memory and so any money raised can help towards this.  It's a small local charity and every penny really will help.  So please dig deep and donate now.
