Our beloved father and husband Dr Kamal Gupta sadly passed away at Wigan Infirmary on February 2nd 2021 due to COVID-19. During his final illness the kindness and compassion of the doctors, nurses and everyone else looking after him is something we will never forget. We are eternally grateful to all the team for the wonderful care they gave him, especially all of the Respiratory team working tirelessly under incredibly difficult conditions. Instead of flowers for his funeral we would prefer donations to be made to Wigan Infirmary's Three Wishes Charity, to benefit future patients at the hospital.

The Charity makes the most of every last penny and is very grateful for the support and generosity of our donors and the tireless efforts of fundraising volunteers and supporters who give their time and effort to help us. Our Heart and Lung Fund supports the care of our cardiology, coronary care patients and all respiratory services. The fund buys new equipment, and the new Cardiology Catheter Discharge Lounge that opened in January 2018 was built entirely with charitable funds.
