Story

Dear Friends,

As I am sure you are aware I have (some would say stupidly) signed up to do the Liverpool Triathlon on 26th June. To help support the fact that some people say I have a screw lose, I have decided to go hardcore and do the OLYMPIC distance. For those that don’t know, it means that when you are recovering from a well earned hangover on Sunday morning, I’ll be swimming 1 mile in Albert Dock, then jumping on my bike for a 25 mile cycle, followed by a 6.5 mile run just for good measure!

In order to prove that I am not sadomasochist and to ‘give a little something back’, I have decided to fundraise for Derian House Children’s House (www.derianhouse.co.uk) which is a children’s hospice focused on specialist palliative respite and terminal care for children who may not live to reach adulthood. It’s a charity my Nan & Granddad do a lot of fundraising for and I really keen to support their endeavours and help enrich the lives of children & families who deserve it.

I hope that you will take a moment to sponsor me?! I know that £££ is tight in the current climate so I am not asking for large donations (unless you’re feeling generous!). I’m only after the cost of a pint or bottle of wine. It’s really easy – you can donate online by or in person.

In the spirit of giving, I have decided to give you all a good laugh and show you my Triathlon outfit. The smile my red fashion faux par has brought to your face has got to be worth a small donation!

CHEERS!
