Story

I am attempting Mount Kilimanjaro on 29th July to raise money for Action for Stammering Children (ASC) and hope to raise a target of £300 to help children who stammer. Donations will go directly to those children and young people in desperate need of help managing their stammer.

I myself grew up with blocks in my speech, and from teen age I developed what is known as a 'covert stammer.' I did not have access to any therapy, and I would like to make sure that today's children do. Currently there are around 720,000 people in the UK who stammer, but not everyone receives therapy and there's always more that can be done. With your help I hope to reach far more children across the UK and give them the confidence they need to succeed in their lives.

I recently self-published a book called 'Shouting from the Summits,’ of which 20% of the first sales proceeds were donated to the British Stammering Association.

With your help, I hope to reach my target, and help give young people who stammer the chance to have equal opportunities in life.
