Marie Curie is here for anyone with an illness they’re likely to die from, and those close to them. Whatever the illness, wherever you are, we’re with you to the end. We bring 75 years of experience and leading research to the care we give you at home, in our hospices and over the phone.

Story

Hi! I’m Kaitlyn Jensen and thanks for visiting my JustGiving page. I am a second-year student at Cardiff University and I want to do something good for others next year, especially given all the doom and gloom of recent times. In 2021 I am going on a 10-day trek in Tanzania up to Kilimanjaro’s summit, the roof of Africa, for Marie Curie: a UK based charity that helps the terminally ill.

Marie Curie fights for a society where everyone gets to lead the best life they can, even at the end- and in the face of coronavirus, their work is more essential than ever. They provide free nursing, hospices and are always researching into more effective and compassionate palliative care for those who need it. In 2019 Marie Curie helped more than 60,000 people directly and reached over two million more, and yet so much of their work is entirely reliant on the compassion of the common people. You can help support Marie Curie by sponsoring me using the Give Now button.

A £20 donation could pay for one hour of vital nursing care for someone living with terminal illness from their own home, but every little helps. Check out the links below to find information about Marie Curie or check out my Instagram to keep up to date on my fundraising journey.
