Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Leeds marathon for two reasons. One is to show my support for Rob Burrow and the entire MND community (for whom the marathon has been arranged).

I would also like to use my fundraising to raise some much needed funds for a local Milton Keynes charity - Brain tumour research UK.

More people than you realise are given the horrible diagnosis of brain tumours. Unfortunately many of these are also not survivable and therefore too many people are dying far too young.

Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer, yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.

Brain tumour research are doing a fantastic job of researching this condition,  and trying to find a cure so those receiving this diagnosis have some hope!
