Story

Team Cushman & Wakefield is taking part in the 2022 Dragon Boat Race in Birmingham City Centre, in aid of Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity. The races are on Friday 23rd September 2022.

Friends, family, and even I have had to have care at The Birmingham Children's Hospital. It's a fantastic facility but like all medical institutions - is always under funded, under resourced and staff over strained.

Please give what ever you can to this worth charity. In turn I will give what ever I can in the boat. I lack coordination, rhythm and any form of fitness so will be giving it a good slog!

The last time I went in a canoe, I ended up in Ulverston Water, I only know this as I am often reminded of it. Fingers crossed I don't end up in the canal this time round!

Thank you all for your generosity!

About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
