Our amazing team of runners are taking on the London Marathon on 23rd April 2023! Together we can create a future free from breast cancer.

Story

Poppy and her dad, Justyn, are running one of the most famous marathons in the world to raise money for the amazing charity Prevent Breast Cancer (PBC).

This charity is particularly important to us, given our family history of the BRCA II mutation, including Poppy recently finding that she, like her mother Janie and aunt Claire, has inherited the gene mutation. There will be few of you whose lives have not also been touched by this devastating disease.

Unlike many cancer charities whose aim it is to find a cure, PBC is entirely dedicated to preventing future generations from ever being diagnosed. By promoting early diagnosis, screening, and lifestyle changes, this research focuses on stopping the problem before it starts. PBC is the only breast cancer prevention centre in the UK.

We have a gruelling training programme (see Strava feed below) and have a big joint sponsorship target to hit.  Any donation, no matter how big or small, would be massively appreciated. Help us to make breast cancer a disease of the past – for all our families.

Thank you for your support.
