On 7th March 2012 my good friend Rick (Bigman to me) sadly lost his battle with cancer. He was 44 years old.

Rick had been bravely fighting this for 4 years, enduring 3 long and painful courses of chemotherapy. Never once in this time did he complain about the treatment, the way it made him feel or indeed his plight. He was an absolute inspiration to all and I, like many others, will miss Rick tremendously.

I am trekking to the Mt Everest Base Camp in March / April this year and have now decided to do this in honour of Rick and aim to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Research, which was one of Rick's chosen charities.    

I would really appreciate any sponsorship that you can give for this very deserving charity in memory of my friend Rick.
