Some of you might know that I have worked as a mentor for Mentoring Plus over the years.

Mentoring Plus helps kids struggling to get a start in life in the Bath and Somerset area.  These kids are coping with poverty, family breakdown, poor mental health and lack of role models, meaning many of them face real challenges just to get started in life.  What some of them have to cope with would be hard enough for us adults, but for children, it really is tough on top of the usual trials and tribulations of finding out who you are and how you fit into the world.

Here's what one of our mentees said....

"Thank you for having me for 12 months. I have enjoyed all of the activities that you have put on and helping me with my confidence and making new friends. I will be a mentor when I am older".

I'm now asking if you can spare a fiver for the much easier challenge of running round Bath.  No more, no less!  Just £5 for 13.1miles.  That's 38p a mile or 24p a kilometre if you prefer.  Or the price of a coffee, at least in some places.
