Story
In case you have not heard I will be joining a strong team of volunteers which will be exchanging comforts of our home countries to volunteer with some of the most disadvantaged sectors within Honduras. By doing so my aim is to make a difference to the lives of others...and hopefully mine.
I am raising funds for ICYE to assist the charity in continuing its work in promoting peace, social justice and cultural awareness through long-term volunteer placements. By donating to ICYE you will assist volunteers to be placed on community and social projects in 35 countries around the world, allowing us to make a real difference to peoples' lives.
Examples of volunteer placements include:
Working with sexuality exploited children in Colombia
Assisting social workers in an outreach programme for street Kids in Mexico
Assisting with the teaching of special needs children in Taiwan To enable my participation as a volunteer I will need to raise £3300. This sum will cover my flights, insurance and a proportion of this will enable an international volunteer from Honduras to come to the UK and work as a volunteer in a domestic charity such as Orpheus, National Centre for Young people with Epilepsy and other social projects Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
