Story
Justine died tragically in September 2017 abroad. Prior to her death Justine was raising money for many charities, one of which was Heart Research UK in memory of her father who died from possible heart related issues 3 months before her in June 2017.
A keen runner, Justine was a team leader at Beginners to Runners (B2R) in Sittingbourne, and her last fundraising run was the Subway Healthy Hearts run at Mote Park in September 2017. She had planned to take part in the Three Peaks Challenge in 2018 to raise money for Heart Research UK.
The 23 kilometre distance has been decided upon as 23 was a significant number for Justine - she was born on 23 March, died on 23 September and her funeral was on 23 October. Justine's memorial run will be launched at the beginning of March to coincide with what would have been her 45th birthday. The run is open to anyone, anywhere and it is anticipated that as many as 400 people will take part including friends, family, neighbours, colleagues. A special medal has been designed (see below which will be awarded to those who complete the challenge.

Here's just a couple of snapshots of Justine, we would really appreciate your memories of her too when you make a donation.....
Jackie (Area Manager of B2R) says "Justine's death was a terrible shock to the B2R family. She was a great team leader, encouraging and motivating new runners with a kind, positive approach. She will always be remembered for her favourite phrase Finishing Lines not Finishing Times".
Tina (Justine's fiance) says "As well as running Justine loved to challenge herself in other ways - if there was a training course which involved climbing up tall buildings she would be on it, jumping out of a plane she would be there, riding her motorbike she loved it. She revelled in the buzz she got from physical challenges". In her downtime she was the original 'crazy cat lady' and when resting would love to curl up on the sofa with the cats, and the kitten we found abandoned and rescued from certain death in London".
