Story
Amazing to think I am still alive after enduring 15 lung collapses, and a 3 week coma from battling with the world's rarest lung disease called, Lymphangioleiomyomatosis (LAM). In July 2006, I recieved a double-lung transplant and have constantly set myself goals/challenges & defied many Doctors! I have now been selected to be a Transplant Ambassador and take part in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. I will be doing the last leg (8) in June/July 2012 sailing from USA, Nova Scotia, Ireland, Netherlands and UK. Travelling approximately 4,000 miles at sea, with 4 races in this leg and will be away for about 2 months.

This is a project set up by Stephen Wigmore Professor of Transplantation Surgery at the Edinburgh Hospital. For more information on this, please look at this link below and I have been sponsored by this project.

However, I still needed to raise funds that the sponsorship didn't cover, and wanted I to help others with LAM disease once all my costs were coverered. So please donate to LAM Action or if you would like to split donations to also give something back to my sponsorship (as above link).
