Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I lost my right eye whilst deployed on military operations serving abroad and now live (half-blind) with a prosthetic eye.
I want to run my first marathon supporting a charity which means something to me personally. I want to support those veterans less fortunate than myself and running for Blind Veterans UK charity is a perfect fit. Rebuilding lives after sight loss.
There’s no better motivation than knowing every penny raised will go towards enabling Blind Veterans UK to provide vital training and rehabilitation to blind ex-Service personnel. Your support will help to make a real difference to beneficiaries, who need to adapt and discover a new life beyond sight loss.
I will use this commitment to drive me forward during my many ‘training’ runs as it gives me a real sense of purpose – I’m running because…..
I plan to run the London Marathon 2022 with pride in my heart and a smile on my face representing Blind Veterans UK. Thank you for your generous donation and support.
