Story
After 3,426 kilometres, all sorts of weather and the toughest mountains the Alps and Pyrenees can throw at you, I've just finished my Tour Challenge. If you would like to find out more about my exploits, I kept a daily log, with some amazing pictures, in the Tour Challenge Blog- www.ttcblog.thetourchallenge.co.uk.
The challenge consisted of 21 official stages from the last 7 Tour de France routes and involved 3,426 kilometres of cycling over 23 days including 8 high category mountains. I didn't take this likely, the training schedule alone covered 10,000 km since with the equivalent of 20 ascents of Everest, whilst as I was solo riding, I'll prepared myself to take the brunt of whatever the weather had to throw at me.
Julia’s House is the only children’s hospice charity in Dorset dedicated to helping life-limited children and their families across the county, in 2014 it will cost £3.9 million to provide this service and the vast majority of that comes from donations - therefore I'd be grateful for any donations received.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity - so please dig deep and donate now.
Thank you
Justin
