Story
I am a 43 year old Army veteran from York, I loved my job in the Royal Logistics Corps as a Postal Courier, in 2012 I was devastated when a freak accident while stationed in Germany left me with a broken back and in a wheelchair with limited mobility. But I refused to give up and it didn't stop me, I fractured my L5 vertebra and it's been replaced with a prosthetic lower spine. As I am unable to ride a normal road bike I will be taking part using a Recumbent trike and as i cant run i will be doing it on an Alter G (Anti Gravity Treadmill).
The Challenge is to take part in 12 Challenges in 12 months with the help from Race At Your Pace and the App Zwift. December is cycle 200 miles January run 100 miles and so on till December 2019.
Why am i doing it, after visiting the wards i noticed that the war need to improve facilities for disabled children, for example tracking hoists, larger examination and high low baths.
I would like to thank you for taking the time to have a look at my page. With your donation no matter how big or small it will make a difference to many children of all ages.
