Story
On 25th April I will be running the Virgin London Marathon for the second time in aid of Shooting Star Children's Hospice. When I ran four years ago for the same charity I had the opportunity to visit the hospice; I was so moved by my visit that I knew that if I had the chance I would have to run again for Shooting Star. Now having a boy of a year and a half, the circumstances that the families supported by the hospice find themselves in have become even more unimaginable, so...
4 years later and two stone heavier the time has come - to lose weight and raise some money for this incredible charity!
For those that don't know, Shooting Star is a charity based in Hampton, Surrey that provides care and support for children with life-limiting conditions. It strives to enhance the quality of life throughout the course of a child's illness.
Shooting Star has no statuatory funding and stays open through public donations. It costs £8000 per day just to maintain the care services they provide. Every penny donated to the cause makes a difference, so please dig deep and donate whatever you can. I'd really appreciate your help!
Thanks very much, Justin.
