Story
We're back!! Once again, Jim and I will be among a small group of golfers teeing it up for 100 holes on April 28, raising funds on behalf of the MACC Fund. The support our friends, family and colleagues have shown over the last four years has been nothing short of incredible, contributing over $150,000 towards our effort to help kids and families win the fight against cancer. In 2022, we look forward to once again surpassing our goal of $50,000. We cannot overstate how much your support means to us.
The Cause:
We have been inspired by the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer) and their efforts in funding research to battle childhood cancer and blood disorders. Since the organization was started in 1976, it has contributed over $60 MILLION towards cancer research. 75% of those funds are generated through fundraising events like The Ringer. Learn more about the MACC fund and it's mission in the link below.

The Event:
On April 28th, we will set off at 7:30am with a small group at The Bog, not returning until we complete 100 holes. These two dozen golfers have successfully raised over $575,000 in the four years since the event's inception. "The Ringer" is named after the bell hanging on a wall at Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, which is only rung when a child successfully completes his or her treatment. As a result of advances in treatment thanks to research funded by organizations like the MACC Fund, the five-year survival rate for all types of childhood cancer has improved from 20% when we started in 1976, to 80% today. It is our goal to see that number improve to 100% through continued efforts by organizations like our own.
