Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My daughter Millie and son Harrison were born 10 weeks premature at Kingston hospital, weighing little more than a bag of sugar. Suffering from respiratory distress syndrome, they were rushed in to intensive care to be treated by an amazing medical team. Not knowing what to expect in the coming days and weeks, we became increasingly reliant on the information, care and support provided by the charity 'Born Too Soon'
We were overwhelmed by the exceptional standard of medical care that Millie and Harrison received and equally the parental support provided by the charity. They also help to fund the purchasing of state of the art, specialist medical equipment, ensuring the best possible outcomes for small pre-term babies and new born infants requiring specialist care on the Neonatal Unit at Kingston Hospital NHS Trust.
Millie (six) and Harrison (four) are now boisterous and exhausting children with boundless energy. They have kindly allowed their Dad to train for the UK Ironman and raise some money for 'Born Too Soon', who played such a positive and instrumental part in their lives at such an early stage . Hopefully this will motivate and enable me to train for and complete the 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile cycle and 26 mile run within 12 hours.
'Born Too Soon' are a small local charity who are reliant on the kind donations of others so that they can continue with their invaluable work. Your generous donations will ensure that babies like Millie and Harrison will continue to receive the best care possible, support parents and help save the lives of babies who are 'born to soon'!
