The Just Giving page for: Ade Osoba, Carl Martin, Richard Bushnell, and Paul Randall
Hi Guys,
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Let me tell you a little bit about our crazy cycle ride, and hopefully you'll donate some money to our fantastic charity - The British Heart Foundation.
Over a few days in August, we are aiming to cycle from London to Cornwall - about 350 miles. Why? Well it was all my (Paul's) idea!
Having watched various famous people train, and complete impossible challenges for Comic Relief and Sport Relief, I decided I wanted to do something myself. It's incredible being part of something like that, and it's really inspiring. I also wanted to do something big and a little bit mad before my Wedding in September. I came up with the idea of cycling to visit my Nan, who lives in Cornwall, starting from my Grandparent's house in South London. Both sides of my family have been affected by heart problems, with my London Nan currently being powered by a pacemaker.
Joining me on this challenge are 3 incredible people, probably all a bit crazy too . . . . but I think we'll need that!
Ade is the one with the speed from his amazing bike, we'll all be trying to catch him.
Carlos works as a personnal trainer and so is the one with the super fitness.
Richard is the inspiration, his drive and determination is going to be a key ingredient in our team's spirit and ability to reach the finish line.
And then there's me - the one with the crazy idea.
We have all been training hard over the past few months through the wind, rain and snow, to get us in shape to be able to complete the journey. With a few months still left to go we are now asking for your support to get us to the end of our challenge.
The British Heart Foundation is a fantastic charity. As I mentioned earlier, my family has been affected by heart problems and I am doing this to help people like my Nan, who was able to be given help and a pacemaker. I never met my Grandfather on my Dad's side of the family, because of Heart Disease and I always wish that I could have. Anything that you can donate, will help families stay together longer. I think that is a pretty powerful thing to do.
Thanks for your time, and remember to wave if you see us cycling by . . . . we promise to wave back if you do.
I am writing a blog to let you all know what we are up to, how training is going and that sort of thing. Check it out and keep up to date with our progress.
