My Grandad passed away on the 11th March, after developing cancer last summer. Marie Curie were absolutely incredible; providing home care until the bitter end. This enabled my family to privately say our goodbyes, to be with him, and most importantly hug him, after a year of socially distancing!!

I will be embarking on a 2 day hike across some of the most treacherous tracks of the South Coast Path. It is 29 miles, with a total ascent of 2000m. This will be, without a doubt, the most challenging thing I have ever done. I am not a fit and active person, I will have been training for 10 weeks and will need a hell of a lot of motivation to get me through!!!

They are a charity that have been pushed beyond limits and throughout a global pandemic their funding has dropped.
