Story
Just over a year ago I lost my boyfriend on a tragic motor bike accident. Since John's gone life hasn't and will never be the same and it is still very difficult, to say the least, to even start to understand life and future without him!Our relationship was perfect and we couldn't be happier! We shared not only a home but also dreams and plans of a lifetime together!
John Paul was 35 years old, fit and full of life and love. He always had time for people and was generous with his support, advice and friendship without expecting anything back in return.
John helped and encouraged everyone around him to be the best they could. In short, John made people happy and he left behind a family, girlfriend and many friends who miss him terribly, but who are also hugely grateful to have known and had him in their life, however briefly.
In honour of those wonderful qualities, we have set up a memorial fund - The John Paul Clarke Memorial Foundation - as a way of ensuring John's spirit and kindness continues to touch and help people for many years to come.
All monies raised go to Hackney Quest, a charity local to where John Paul lived, that supports disadvantaged families in the area.
The John Paul Memorial Fund specifically goes towards helping children and young people and gives them the opportunity to attend residential and non-residential courses in drama, music, film or sports. All things John loved. The fund also awards three Bursaries a year to individuals that deserve special recognition. These projects develop not only the youngsters talent, but also their confidence, people and life skills and helps them towards reaching their full potential.
So, on Sunday 21st June 2015, myself and five other ladies will be doing a parachute jump from 15, 000 feet to raise money for John Paul's Fund.
John parachuted few years ago in South Africa and I remember him saying that it was one of the most amazing experiences he had in his life and we were planning to do it together in a near future...
Now...I won't lie...I'm petrified of doing it!! So, Please, help me to achieve this huge challenge in John's memory!! Every donation is a massive motivation and a step closer to our goal of helping children of Hackney Quest and be more John!!
THANK YOU ever so much for your support!!
Lots of love,
Samira
