Story
Hi, thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
On Saturday 25th September I have signed up to do a skydive to raise much needed funds for JDRF, who exist to find the cure for type 1 diabetes and its complications, and is the world's leading charitable funder of type 1 diabetes research.
Diabetes gatecrashed our lives on the 2nd October 2007.
As a determined almost 10 year old, Gwen, along with the help of her family and friends refuses to let diabetes rule her. She leads an active life, enjoying hobbies such as horse riding, gymnastics, swimming, brownies, violin, school choir, chess club and even helping her Grandma look after their horses and highland cattle! And all this is fitted around her four insulin injections, and at least 4 finger pricks that Gwen must do every day to maintain her blood sugar levels. It is vital that much needed funds are raised so that eventually a cure WILL be found.
