Twenty one months ago our friends lives were devastated. Without any warning Martin collapsed and died in front of Wendy's eyes totally shattering the lives of Wendy and her family.  Wendy is my best friend and has been so brave, strong, courageous and supportive to her gorgeous family in the darkest time of her life.  Martin would be soooooo proud.

Team Tretiak (Peter, Georgina, Michael and myself ) are taking part in the bike ride alongside Wendy, her daughter Lindsey and her husband David, as well as friends of Martin, to raise awareness of heart disease as Martin was a fit and healthy man, always lead a healthy lifestyle, didn't smoke or have any of the risk factors associated with the condition.  We know Martin died from a sudden ischemic heart event (heart disease).

Team Tretiak are attempting the Bronze route 22 miles Over The Edge bike ride  to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and to support Wendy and her family through this tragic time.  If you were lucky enough to have known Martin you would know what a special man he was.  We were very fortunate to have been friends with Martin for numerous years and have great memories - we miss him immensely.
