Hello there, and thank you so much for visiting my fundraising web page.

The photo you see is me in usual corporate attire – well from April 1^st that will be well and truly dumped for what can only be described as a fashion ‘mess’. For 8 days my Gucci loafers will sit safely in the box and be replaced with most obscene, ugly not to mention incredibly heavy walking boots. My Louis Vuitton accessories will give way to some indescribable rucksack (I do actually know what one is now!) Pink champagne will sadly stay in my fridge and 2 litres of bottled water each day will be the replacement…..Good God, just what have I done. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I can hear you all – she’s about to turn 50 and this time has completely lost the plot.  I would put this in a similar category to going into a drug and alcohol rehab centre – not that I have that experience mind you!!! This trip may just change all of that.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

From 1st-8th April I'll be.........
- trekking 100 kilometres, which is sixty of your earth miles
- climbing to 720 metres through the Jordanian mountains
- walking for up to 9 hours per day, every day of the trek
- checking my boots for creepy crawlies before putting them on
- sweating profusely during the day, and freezing to death at night
- sleeping in a sleeping bag in a tent for the first time
- on the lookout for biting insects, scorpions, snakes and the like
- completely separated from bath, shower, hairdryer and lip gloss
- raising lots of money for Just A Drop from lovely people like you

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

So given this significant change in affairs, how on earth could you refuse to sponsor me? Please please please please, pretty please with knobs on, sponsor me. You know you want to! This trek departs on April Fool's Day, so how much more comedy value do you want for goodness sake?
