Story
My mum Gillian died in 2001 due to a Grade 4 Glioblastoma, an aggressive type of brain tumour.
She was 46.
Glioblastoma is the most common high grade primary brain tumour in adults. It comes back even after radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery.
Here we are in 2021, and the tumours and the heartache keep coming. MUCH more research is needed.
I'm helping to change all this by taking part in Wear A Hat Day With Flowers 2021.

If you have a head, a hat, and some flowers - congratulations! You are ready for Wear A Hat Day With Flowers.
Why not wear your hat on June 18th 2021 at home, at work or school?
In doing so you might just make someone smile (and let's face it, if your hat is funny, they'll probably laugh at you, too - even better).
If you don't want to wear a hat tomorrow, just a small (or a big) donation to Brain Tumour Research would be greatly appreciated.
Share your silly hat selfies with me if you dare. I won't share any photos of you (either online or with others) without your permission.

More information about Brain Tumour Research & my fundraiser:
As you will be aware, brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What's more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer... yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
Please give what you can, so Brain Tumour Research can fund continuous and sustainable scientific research into brain tumours and be a leading voice calling for greater support and action for research into what scientists are calling the last battleground against cancer.
So why a fundraising goal of £274? Because that figure represents 10% of the costs of just one day's research into brain tumours. Let's smash that fundraising goal together.
Now, let's have some fun with this, like you know Gillian would have.
Grab your hat ;-)
