GDNF for Parkinson's
Campaign by Funding Neuro (RCN SC042061)
Following on from the Phase 2 trial of GDNF in Parkinson's disease. We are trying to raise 4 million pound to push forward the Phase 3 trial. Can you help us to get there?

Story

My soul mate,  best friend and husband to be, Mike Smith was diagnosed with Parkinson’s back in 2016. At that time we were lost in a sea of confusion. Then along came Daren Calder to show us the way forward.

Darren donated his brain to medical science after he was diagnosed with PD and he and 41 others were given an experimental drug called GDNF as part of a clinical trial. The positive difference in the participants was incredible but the trial did not pass its requirements to get it licensed so now we are fighting to get GDNF back into further clinical trials and hoping that Mike will walk in Darren’s shoes.

Parkinsons UK have done an incredible thing & bought the rights to GDNF and we are fundraising to ensure that people with Parkinsons deserve a chance to receive this miracle drug.

Look up www.GDNF.org.uk for further info but before you do please help us by donating.

Mike and I want to show our appreciation to this worthy cause and so were are signing up our friends and family to climb Pen Y Fan Peak on Sept 5th 2021. If you can not join us you can still support us by donating here
