I have set myself a challenge to take part in the Bolton Ironman in July 2016 with a pledge to raise £2000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. A couple of years ago my mother in law was diagnosed with cancer of the oesophagus and has just recently been given the all clear. The care and support she received from the Macmillan Nurses was invaluable.

The Ironman consists of a 2.5 mile open water swim, 112 mile bike ride and a 26 mile run. I know it's supposed to be a competition but my aim will just be to complete it! I hope you can help by sponsoring me.  Any donation however small is greatly appreciated and will go a long way to support my pledge.
