What a fantastic night I had last night.   I marked my 50th birthday by having my head shaved for charity.   I have far exceeded my initial target of £1,000 for the Willow Foundation and am still getting sponsors after the event!  Should I up my target to £2,000?

I’d like to say a massive “THANK YOU” to everyone who has supported me:

To all my sponsors and to those who got me more sponsors (especially Katie for her tireless efforts and enthusiasm)

To everyone who donated raffle prizes (especially Vision Ink for such a lovely donation of tattoo vouchers), to those who sold tickets and those who bought them

To Sinead (Hair Café) who shaved my head and to all those who paid for the privilege of cutting some off beforehand (some people do have a sadistic streak!)

To the Wig Department at Debenhams for kindly donating a wig

To Verene for the cake … that was so sweet of you.  And for the flowers and gifts from everyone else.

Thank you to all my family, friends and work colleagues; without whom this would not have been possible.  It was a wonderful evening last night … one I will never forget.
