Come June I will be attempting the National 3 Peaks Challenge. For those of you who may not be aware this challenge involves walking up the 3 highest mountains in Britain within 24 hours. These mountains are Ben Nevis (1344m), Scafell Pike (978m) and Mt Snowdon (1085m).

The 24 hour time limit also includes travelling between each peak, so I WILL be walking up Scafell Pike in the middle of the night - oh goody!!!!

I'm doing this challenge to raise money for Derian House Childrens Hospice in Chorley. Derian House offer help and support to both terminally ill children and their families. These children very rarely make it to adulthood, but whilst their lives may be cut short, Derian House help them live as full and normal life as possible by offering them support and care  and of course fun, laughter and enjoyment. Unfortunately, Derian House are only funded for 9 weeks of the year by the government, so for the other 43 weeks they have to raise their own funds to enable them to continue helping these children.
