Story

Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page. This trek is a huge challenge for me and I really appreciate your support.

I know it may not be a 'trendy' or 'currently topical' charity and if you have not had cause to contact Samaritans yourself, you may not appreciate quite how important our service is to people who do not cope as well with what life throws at them as others. We all give our time voluntarily and we do not get any government money or sponsorship. Everything we have we have to raise ourselves, including providing the small suite of offices where we take calls and receive visits from our distressed and suicidal callers.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Putney Samaritans will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks in advance and I will let you know how I get on. Julie
