I’m taking part in the Moonwalk this Saturday to support my amazing and inspirational friend Emma on her 3rd Moonwalk. Emma’s beautiful sister tragically lost her battle against breast cancer last year, leaving behind her two small children and husband. Sadly its almost impossible to meet anyone who has not been touched in some way by this disease. I still struggle daily with the unquantifiable loss of my own mother to cancer, along with my family and many friends who bear their own losses with much more courage than me, and this walk is for my Mum too.

But its really all about raising money – for the charities supported by Walk the Walk that do such amazing work raising awareness, carrying out research, and providing much needed emotional support and respite care for families affected by breast cancer. So please please consider sponsoring me and give what you can – every little bit helps and will be very gratefully received.

For my part, in return for your sponsorship I will walk 26 miles around London at night on 17th May with 15,000 other women, hopefully in around 7 hours. Now there’s just the small matter of the bra……
