Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with any terminal illness across the UK. Our nurses work night and day in people’s homes and our hospices offer specialist care. We also support people emotionally, provide practical information, and match them with trained volunteers.

Story

I was diagnosed with ocular melanoma (eye cancer) in 2012. I had radiotherapy and will lose the sight in my eye, it's not gone yet but isn't great. I was told there is a 50/50 chance of it spreading and if it does it most likely attacks the liver. I therefore have to have an MRI scan every 6 months to check for any signs of it spreading. In 2013 I climbed Ben Nevis for Macmillan. This year I am climbing Scafell for Marie Curie. Cancer is such an awful disease and every penny we can raise does make a difference.
