Dedicated to the Memory of John Norman George Howitt
07.06.1943 - 30.07.2023

This page is a tribute to John, who was a wonderful husband to Norma, Dad to Sarah and David and Grandpa to Sam, Lucy and Ellie, and younger brother to Sandra. 

He enjoyed a long and successful career as a Chartered Accountant, offering sage advice and words of wisdom. He had a brilliant sense of humour and family meant the absolute world to him.  

He was a fan of Nottingham Forest and loved taking both David and Sam to the football. 

He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of Chilwell Manor for over 50 years.  He was a highly respected and active member of the Freemasons where he was recognised for his many achievements and high offices.  

He loved days out, dinners and holidays with his family who have so many happy memories with him.

John died peacefully at home surrounded by his family.  He would have been truly touched by all of the sadness, support and kindness shown by everyone who knew him.

Our aim is for this page to remind us of John's life and his importance to us as a family. We want to focus on our happy memories spent together over the years. We are also aiming to raise as much money as possible to help support Kidney Cancer UK and would like to thank you for your kind donations.
