Story
Hi guys,
Last year I did the walk to support some very good friends who had just lost a mother. This year, I will run in support of all those who are in the Hospice as well as those who have benefited from it's service. I got the fundraising bug!
I personally don't know anyone there right now (and hopefully never will) but I feel the charity is an indispensable one, I have heard nothing but praise for the place! It deserves our support.
Events like this give me the opportunity to show that its not only families and friends that can help out those in need but its total strangers as well. You don't need to be suffering/ grieving for anyone to raise money!!
Please help me raise at least £200. Here's how the Hospice can spend it:
£30= 1hr of specialist nursing care
£50= a counselling session for a bereaved family member
£100= overnight stay for a nurse in a patients home, giving the family respite.
£500= one full day of care for a patient in the Hospice
£1380= pays for a syringe driver which is needed to manage pain in a terminally ill patient.
BE GENEROUS FOLKS! YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU'LL NEED IT YOURSELF!!!!!!!!!
Thank you :-)
Love Julie xxx
