Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As you will probably know, my wonderful husband and very best friend Dee Mahandru passed away on 23rd July 2010 from stomach cancer. Saint Francis Hospice in Havering Atte Bower were an absolute God send to us. They helped Dee so much with pain relief and the most uptodate palliative care. They gave great support to me also, for which I was very grateful, being heavily pregnant at the time. Dee stayed at the St Francis Hospice on four separate occasions, and both my Grandfather and my Grandmother also passed away there.
The Hospice make patients and their friends and families feel very much at home, and do such a stirling job. They are like angels. I truly do not know what we (Dee and I) would have done without them..
St Francis Hospice has a wonderful and cheery atmosphere and rely alot on charity. My family and I encourage you to make a donation to this worthy cause. They help so many people, both in the Hospice itself and in the local community. So, on the 16th of July this year we are taking part in the ladies10km ladies walk. I would really appreciate if you could sponsor me , as much or as little as you can afford. Every penny helps towards this fantastic cause.
