Story
I am raising money for the Kentucky's Humane Society's event, Waggin’ Tail on the Waterfront, their largest celebration of animals to raise funds! For every $20 donated, I’ll walk 2,000 steps (about 1 mile).
A part of KYHS’s lifesaving work to help cats, dogs, and horses in our community includes CARE-a-van Mobile Vet Care to bring affordable veterinary care directly to neighborhoods, S.N.I.P. Clinic to provide low-cost spay/neuter services, partnering with the Center for Women & Families in the Safe Haven Program to care for the pets of domestic violence survivors, the Safety Net Foster Program to offer housing for pet owners who are experiencing issues with a temporary lack of pet friendly housing — and so many more resources.
Pets are proven to provide physical and mental well-being benefits to us, and it’s devastating to think that due to financial constraints or emergency situations, many people may have to choose to not have pets, to give them away, or to not be able to afford basic veterinary care for them. The contributions KYHS brings to our communities are invaluable, and I invite you to help me help them continue helping our community’s pets and their people!
