Story

We were supposed to have been cycling to Bruges this weekend with the YMCA to raise funds for a minibus to be used by the many groups of children who use their vital services

I work for the local paediatric physiotherapy team and know many of the children and families who rely on the local Yippee club for holiday and after school activities

Unfortunately due to Covid restrictions the trip was cancelled. But the children and families needs are unchanged and the wait for a minibus is likely to be longer as most of the summer’s fundraising activities have been postponed for a year

We decided to do a 3 day cycle challenge - due to work commitments we weren’t able to complete the full distance of 160 miles over the 3 days but we did manage 100 miles and to make it more of a challenge the last day included the 2 big Surrey hills of Ranmore and Leith - a tough last day

Thanks to the trampoline ladies who joined us on the last day - Jane Lanaway, Jane Mahony and Candy Bristow
