I've known about this event for a few years now and although I wanted to do it. My confidence in the sea is not great. With lots of patience and support, my friends have encouraged me to swim in the sea. This is now my year (my 50th year) to finally take the plunge and swim the Bournemouth Pier to Boscombe Pier sea swim, all 1.4miles. Lovely hubby Chris and good friend Christine Offredy are joining me and I'm sure it will be a challenge for them too. But between us, we will make it.
