foot much better so roll on brighton!

Update 21, March, 2012.  I haven't been able to run now for 1 1/2 weeks due to injury.  I am seeing a sports physio tomorrow, but it looks like I may need to defer my place to next year to avoid further damange.  I will keep you all posted.  I have extended this page to allow for that if it is recommended I defer.  Thank you all for your support.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As many of you know, I am training hard to complete my first (and maybe my last!) marathon.  As part of my training, I am also running a 10k, half marathon and a 20 miler!  Please, please help me support this very worthy charity to support children around the world who have NOTHING not even shoes to protect their feet.  If everyone I know donates just a £1 a lot of children can get some shoes and get help to get off rubbish tips.  We all might be skint, but they have NOTHING!  Go on sponsor me to wreck my feet!!

I decided to do the Brighton Marathon after watching it last year and being inspired by my frend Ally who has now completed it twice. She too once enjoyed being a hardcore party girl like myself and so if Ally can do it then so can I!  I hit 40 exactly 2 weeks after the marathon so help me celebrate both milestones in my life by raising as much money as possible for these kids who have NOTHING!

Thank you all for your support.  Think of me trudging the streets with the endless training, squeezing in sessions whenever I can.  I even run instead of waiting 45minutes for Lila's dance lesson, drag her up every Saturday she is with me to go to Parkrun and spend treasured day off on a Wednesday building up the miles on my long run!  No peace for the wicked.

So are you feeling it?  Go on sponsor me.  Just look at what your money can do.  In Cambodia rubber boots can cost as little as £2.50.

In addition to raising funds, I will also be collecting old shoes (that are still up to wear) to be distrubuted where needed.  Please pass on yours and your childrens old shoes and boots to me.

Thank you.

Julie xx
