Suprise suprise Julie is DOING IT FOR THE BOYS!
Well once again I am having a go at the Adidas 5k Womens Challenge and once again I have left it to the last minute to prepare! So here I am fatter and definately not fitter than last year but I will do my best to have a little run, a little jog and a brisk walk round the course. After all this is a fantastic cause, as we sometimes forget about the menfolk when raising money for cancer charities. My dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer a few years back, but luckily, due to a practice nurse sending him for routine blood tests it was picked up early, treated and is now under control. Having 3 brothers, a husband and son I think all men should be offered this simple blood test that can pick this cancer up in the early stages.
Think of me as I pick my way around the course...dont think my time will be as good as last year but its the taking part and finishing that matters.
