Nicola, Paul, Julie, Andy, Liz and Wes have joined together to raise money and awareness for Leukemia & Lymphoma in memory of two amazing people, Nicola's brother, Michael Lodge (Mikes) and Nicola's Dad, Howard Lodge who both sadly passed away from blood cancers only 5 months apart.

Mikes was diagnosed with Leukemia in May 2011 and died in September of that year; he was only 33 years old and he left behind a wife, his soul mate Tina, and a beautiful 7-month son, Matthew.

Howard lost his own battle against Myeloma 5 months later.

Both Mikes and Howard were courageous, dignified and fought until the end.

In addition, Nicola also lost her Mum 7 months before Mikes passed away.

We want to raise money to to support research into blood cancers in the hope that in the future this won't happen to other families. Matthew has just turned 2 years of age and is growing up to be a beautiful litltle boy - the tragedy is that his own Dad and Grandad are not here to witness this.

As a team of six friends including Nicola, we have come together to do something positive and are undertaking a big challange to raise money and awareness for Leukemia & Lymphoma.

On Sunday, 5th May, we are all walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks - a 24 mile gruelling walk and climb up 3 mountains in 1 day - Ingleborough, Whernside and Pen-y-ghent.
